Gain RM offers a critical security advantage: The protocol used by
Gain RM is TCP/IP Network. You have complete control to set security levels.
You can manage what areas the users can access and what capabilities and functions
are allowed. You can control the records each user is allowed to have access to. GAIN
RM requires a simple internal user account. The access is not solely dependent
on access protocols and user permission’s established in an organization’s Network
or IIS security infrastructure. True Roaming User Profiles
– Customized menus and screens for data entry, view, and browse are stored in
the database not on the desktop. That makes menus and screens available to the
user no matter the intranet (internet) connection method or originating location.
SSL enabled If an SSL key has been purchased from
VeriSign or other similar vendor, and it is enabled in IIS, all traffic between
host and client will be encrypted. Gain RM searches for a secure port when a
session is initiated, and if located, Gain RM will use the encryption layer.
Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)/X509 certificate authentication method
is supported for Windows NT/2000/XP.

Internal Security and Access Controls
Authorization to access
all components of our software solution can be assigned at the user level and/or
the group level. The tools are a set of templates that only require
you to Copy, Modify, and Deploy. Custom templates can be linked to multiple users,
such as a department. Any changes to a template will be immediately deployed to
all users associated with that template. The set of templates included: - 5
User Accounts
- 3 Inventory Template
- 3 browse (list)
data layouts
Record Access Security A user is granted access through
defined profile records. Organizational Profile security integrates with all areas
and functions relating to the inventory. Application Access and
Menu Security The Menu Models provide complete control over
access to the major functions of the Gain RM system. When the model prohibits
access to a menu or a functional item, that item is not seen by the user when
they log into the system. Menu Model Templates are deployed with
the system for the Copy, Modify, and Deploy approach, and may be linked to 1 or
more user accounts. Concurrent End User Licensing
End user access is managed by the number of concurrent connections to the database,
not the number of user accounts set up in Gain RM.
